A space built for young people — to talk, connect, and be heard without judgment.
Kids & Teens Café is a recurring, small-group gathering program designed to give young people a safe, consistent space to talk about what's really going on in their lives. Through guided conversation, open sharing, and peer connection, participants build communication skills, emotional awareness, and a sense of community.
The program is youth-centered — meaning the conversations are driven by what young people actually care about. Facilitators guide without dominating, creating an environment where participants feel ownership over their experience.
Kids & Teens Café is open to youth of all backgrounds, with a focus on young people in underserved communities who often lack access to consistent, trusted spaces outside of home and school.
Young people are navigating more than ever — with fewer spaces to process it.
Youth often feel unheard, dismissed, or misunderstood by the adults around them
Safe, judgment-free spaces for young people to talk openly are rare in many communities
Many kids and teens lack trusted guidance outside of their immediate family
Real-life challenges — stress, identity, relationships, school — go unaddressed without the right support
Isolation among youth is increasing, with fewer built-in community connection points
Every session is built around what young people need most — to feel heard, connected, and supported.
Honest, facilitated discussions about the things young people are actually going through — no sugarcoating, no lectures.
Build real friendships with peers who share similar experiences. Community built through consistency and trust.
Encouragement to speak up, share opinions, and develop their own voice in a space designed for them.
A consistent, structured environment where every young person feels respected, included, and free to be themselves.
Kids & Teens Café runs in small groups — intentionally kept intimate to build real trust and meaningful connection over time. Sessions are consistent and recurring, allowing participants to develop relationships and return to a community they can count on.
While sessions are facilitated by trained MCP staff, the conversations are youth-led. Participants shape the direction of discussions, bringing their real lives, questions, and experiences to the table.
Every session follows a consistent flow — familiar enough to feel safe, flexible enough to stay real.
Every session starts with a simple check-in so each participant has a moment to arrive and be acknowledged.
A youth-relevant topic or theme opens the group conversation, guided by a trained facilitator.
Participants share freely — their thoughts, experiences, and questions — in a low-pressure, open format.
Sessions close with a collective moment of reflection, grounding the group before they leave.
Young people who feel supported grow into adults who thrive. These are the outcomes we're building toward.
